My work is grounded in collaboration and empathy
Here are a few engagements I'm particularly proud of, because their success resulted from close collaboration between my teams and our clients. I think big, but I'm not interested in big ideas that live in fancy illustrations — I take a pragmatic, iterative approach to making them real and build partnerships and productive teams to sustain innovation.
"And what did you do?": I led all of these engagements and was accountable for their outcomes. But the reality is that there were MANY people on my team and others who enabled success.

Launched a collaborative platform (Knection) to enable organization-wide knowledge sharing and classification for research chemists
Design Sprint to accelerate "matchmaking"
My challenge: Help focus scope and priorities for a new platform focused on growing diversity-oriented 20% volunteer engagement
My role: MC & design super glue
Designed and facilitated a 3-day Design Sprint workshop to accelerate a new "matchmaking" experience for volunteer opportunities.
On Day 1, we identified the platform goal and key questions, audience and journey and prioritized opportunities and challenges. On days 2 and 3, we explored and aligned potential solutions and focused scope and plan for MVP in collaboration with our dev team.
Based on our workshop outputs, I identified and oversaw the MVP platform design team. I also led ongoing client engagement around design, research and product strategy.
Contextual inquiry to re-envision lab workflow
My challenge: Transform liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry testing and experimentation
My role: Ethnographic explorer & vision wrangler

Conducted onsite ride-along interviews with Perkin Elmer customers to understand their laboratory context and use of LC/MS hardware and software in their workflow.
Built cross-platform, cross-context user journey and highlighted near-term and future enhancements based on opportunity and implementation effort. Guided design team to visualize future state UI in a clickable prototype.
Socialized, prioritized and roadmapped recommendations with PE stakeholders, leadership and development teams.
